Resumen

In recent years, traditional banking has experienced a series of changes due to the arrival of new competitors, which through a new business model called Fintech denoting financial technology, has revolutionized the offer of financial products and services; These changes motivated the development of this research, with the aim of identifying what this new model consists of and its main impacts. To achieve this, a systematic literature review was carried out on the most relevant publications in the last 5 years, as a result of which it was found that the main impacts were the digitization of products and services, followed by changes in the business model of financial institutions. Furthermore, it was identified that taking advantage of opportunities and reaction to threats will be the differentiator for traditional banks to ensure their permanence in the market.
