The emergence of elliptic functions in the first half of the 19th century.

This project continues the course outlined in the seminar of the university of antioquia (2003-2005) and in the previous project of the universities of medellin and tolima (2008-2010).

Propose explanations that, from the mathematics and the historical context of the dawn of the xix century, clarify the overturning of the thought of the theory of the elliptical integrals to the elliptical functions.
