Project Details
Description
A hydrostatic pressure on a semiconductor heterostructure modifies the band structure in such a way that changes occur
Objective
To carry out a detailed study of the effects of hydrostatic pressure on the optical properties (absorption and photoluminescence) associated with donors and acceptor impurities in low dimensionality semiconductor heterostructures.
Expected results
Undoubtedly, the problem addressed in this project would provide data to the nanotechnology industry on the effects of hydrostatic pressures on the optical properties of impurities in low dimensionality semiconductor systems.
