Project Details
Description
The textile and dairy industries, very important and representative sectors of the world economy, are sectors that consume a lot of water in their production processes, generating high volumes of wastewater discharge with composition and variable flow. this generates: i) economic problems due to the high costs associated with the treatment of these discharges that diminish the competitiveness of these sectors and loss of image; ii) environmental problems due to depletion of water resources and pollution in different parts of the world; and ii) a technical problem due to the difficulty of finding optimal treatments (low costs and high efficiency) for these effluents that vary over time and according to the company, since conventional water treatment techniques are not optimal to remove these polluting loads. all of the above leads to social problems related to availability of abiotic quality resources and employment [1-3].
Objective
To determine the efficiency of a mixed process for the treatment of dairy waters and the discoloration of waters with textile dyes using uv / h2o2 combined with a biological treatment using cyanobacteria.
Expected results
Article a1, primer, business secret protocol, master's degree b work, participation in research congress. a laboratory-scale system for water treatment, in case the project is successful. in this case it differs since the excimer lamp does not have mercury, and normally they are used in the uv / h2o2 low pressure mercury lamp process that can not be used after 2023 according to the national mercury plan. in addition, to use a biological process, which created a mixed process that is expected to be cheaper and more efficient
