Analysis in the fractional fourier domain of electrograms in atrial fibrillation: in silico study

Project Details

Description

Atrial atrial fibrillation (af) is the most common sustained atrial tachyarrhythmia in clinical practice, however, the arrhythmogenic substrates that maintain it are not yet well defined.electroanatomical mapping is a procedure that seeks to reconstruct atrial activation patterns from signals recorded on the atrial surface (electrograms).under this scheme we seek to identify sites susceptible to ablation in order to reverse the arr

Objective

General analyze the characteristics of electrograms in atrial fibrillation in the fourier fractional domain implementing computational models. specific evaluate the estimation of the dominant frequency of atrial electrograms from the fourier fractional domain. identify descriptors in the fractional fourier domain to characterize fragmented and non-fragmented electrograms. evaluate the algorithm developed in a database of virtual electrograms recorded in atrial fibrillation simulations.
